  Literacy and Numeracy

Forward 4 Work

Literacy and Numeracy courses in the Community offer adults the opportunity to brush up on their number and word skills in local centres staffed by experienced and supportive tutors.

Whatever your level we can help you improve your writting skills, get to grips with the basics in maths, or fill in the gaps that can develop if you have not studied for some time.

Literacy, numeracy, basic skills and computing courses are offered for adults wanting to build their confidence and boost their skills. Teaching is in small groups done by specialists.

Literacy
Improving your letter-writing skills, filling-in forms, spelling, reading and understanding text are just some of the activities on the course.

Numeracy
Designed to give people confidence and a better understanding of maths. It will enable people to read bus and train timetables, calculate percentage discounts and calculate the area or perimeter of a room.

Basic Skills and Computing
Internet-based programmes and computer packages are used for literacy and numeracy. For more information ring 020 8266 4286
