  Introduction
 
Welcome to English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Barnet College offers a wide range of ESOL courses in four main centres across Barnet.
 
ESOL classes are designed to help improve English language skills to help with work, study and life in the UK.
 
ESOL tutors will interview each student and assess language level to place students in a class to suit language learning needs.
 
You can study full time 13 hours a week or part time 4 ½ or 6 ½ hours a week.
Full time classes are during the day and you can study part time in the day or evening or on a Saturday.
 
Courses offered:
• 16 – 18 year old full time courses (E1-E3)
• ESOL Foundation (13 hours a week) (E3-L1)
• ESOL Intensive courses (13 hours a week) (E1-E3)
• Part time day and evening courses (E1 - L2)
• Professional and Medical (E3-L2)
• English for Academic Purposes (L1-L2)
• ESOL and vocational study (E3 +)
Each student will have a named tutor to monitor progress in language learning and advise and help with his or her English language learning needs.
